Ha Noi :D

-Fun weekend even though I had lots of homework, memorizing, and a quiz that I did not know about. Instead of doing those things, I went camping :D
-I am sorry to EVERYONE that got scared on Friday night. That was me in a white jacket and no, it was not a white rock that looked like a human. It was ME.

Que Huong 6.5

FRIDAY
-I was suppose to get a ride from Christy, but Kevin jacked my spot. So, instead I went with Daniel and Vincent with Anh Steven. He had a 91' Jeep which started to overheat and smelled like burned meat(but worse). His Jeep also had to carry a trailer that probably weighed like a ton. So by the time we got to the campsite, Daniel was suffocating while everyone stuck their head out of the window. Going 45mph on the freeway was fun.
-Got to the campsite in about 2 hours(5:30pm-7:30pm). It was up in Chino Hills and is called Prado Regional Park.
-My group: Nick, Daniel, Dominic, Thang, Jeannie(freshmen), Jeannie(junior), Tu, Jennifer, and Sally.
-Built a gate and set up our tents. Our gate freaken owned :] The only thing was that it looked like we were some KKK group when we put the shirt on the cross which was hanging on a rope xD
-Went to eat. Had to bargain for our food with fake money. Trying to make as much money as we can. Instead, we ended up losing 300,000 + 28,000 + 50,000. So, we probably started with about 50,000 left. Ate banh mi(had to make it).
-Played games that Anh Huy put up. Three stooges :]
-Anh Bao had a bonding thing where we sat in a circle and he threw a ball of yarn randomly. Everyone had to say something that they would give the next person. I said "my will to try anything." Pretty lame. Haha.
-It was about 12:30am so everyone went to go restroom and clean up before sleeping. Dominic and I went early so we did everything fast. When we left, everyone was still in the restroom so we thought 'let's do a prank.' So we planned to hide in the ferns and tall grass near the lake. But we heard some mooing and croaking noises so we got freaked out and ran. We climbed up a tree that was very near the trail from the restroom to our campsite. It wasn't a good place to scare people so we jumped down when the coast was clear and ran to a huge bush. We hid on the side that was away from the restroom so people who were walking back wouldn't see us. Unfortunately, I was wearing a white jacket with black shorts while Dominic wore a black jacket(everything he wore was black). I did the asian squat while he was on his stomach in sniper position. As we waited, we saw a group past. As they past, I saw Annie run up to Kevin and talk to him. Kevin turned his flashlight to where Dominic and I were hiding. Apparently, Dominic moved his leg and Annie heard it. So, I moved my face away from the flashlight while Dominic stuck his face into the ground. Bad thing was I was in asian squat so that was all I could do. I heard Kevin yell out "What the hell is that?! It looks like someone. I think it's a white rock or something." Then the whole group ran. Dominic and I just stayed still and more people came by and saw us. They all ran, too. When the coast was clear, we ran onto the trail and walked back to the campsite. I didn't notice that we had hid so close to the site. I realized that I was still wearing my white jacket so I took it off as fast as I could and chucked it at my tent. Then Dominic and I went up to Annie and Sally and asked "I heard some screaming. What happened?" Sally says "We saw a white rock that looked like a HUMAN !" I say " You sure? I think you're seeing things." Annie is freaked out and holding onto Sally. Other people said that same thing. Most interesting night for me :]

Saturday
-Woke up at around 7am. I had a really good sleep which was surprising. Got up and cleaned up.
-Bargained for our breakfast ingredients. We made noodles with bo vien. Ours won for presentation because Jeannie(freshmen) made the bo vien really round xD I was telling her to just dump it in, but I was wrong. Lol.
-We played tug of war, but the only way to win is if you passed the catfish up to the first person. We were the first winner :D Owned.
-We had to cook the catfish and make canh chua and ca. Watching Chu Phong hack at the catfish and pull its guts out was...pretty cool :D
-After we ate, we played games that were set up by the people that cook and help us at camp.
-We played Chi Xuan's game which was transfer guppies from a bowl to a cup that was about 10 feet away. The catch was we had to do it with chopsticks. We got all the guppies over there without any harm. Jessica was just going massacre over at her side o.o
-My group interviewed Kim Khanh. It was interesting what had happened to her. Joining TNTT at age 11, mom passes away at age 14, becomes a teacher, meets her husband while she was teaching, crossing the ocean, pirates, making it to the Phillipines, and flying to America. The interview was done so we could make a skit on her life.
-After the interview, we made bo luc lacafter we bargained for some more ingredients. I noticed that I had been eating so little since the beginning of camping. I think we won for presentation again. Haha.
-Went walking with Dominic. Saw a nice sunset. So nice that Dominic ran back to get his camara and took a picture.
-We did our skits first. I applaud you, Jeannie(freshmen), for being so good at memorizing lines. She played Kim Khanh while I played the husband. Pretty embarrassing. "WHOA!....She's sweeter than 3.14." Then I had to get on a knee and grabbed Jeannie's hand and say " Cuoi anh di !" while she replies with a loud "OKAY !" I think we did a good job on the skit thought except I kind of failed at the end :x
-Afterwards, we all got in a circle and thanked the tro ta.
-Just when I thought we were going to sleep, the Huynh Truongs start yelling and I saw Anh John firing a pellet gun into the air and others holding water guns. They all pushed us and told us to get into our tents NOW ! Of course, I walked...cause I was lazy. I got into our tent and Nick told us it was Tro Choi Lon. We were the first group to go and got Anh Huy. Paid him to try to escape Vietnam and get to America. It was fun :D We had to drop down to the ground everytime Viet Cong shined their flashlights near us. Dominic took down Chi Kathy. He got her into a headlock and tripped her. Nick took her watergun while Dominic got up and said "Sorry ! Love you." And we all ran xD We made it back and talked with Anh Kevin about Vietnam.
-Went to sleep at around 1am.

Sunday
-Woke up at around 7am. Cleaned up.
-Made eggs, bacon, and sausage for breakfast.
-Played some games. I got tackled by Jason in Capture the Flag. Holy shizz that hurt and it scared the crud out of me x-x He probably outweighs me by like 60+ pounds. Also played water balloon tanks. That was fun :]
-Cleaned up the campsite and took lots of pictures.
-Went back to St. Barbara. It only took us 30-40 minutes to get back since we were in a Dodge truck this time. Even with carrying the trailer, we were going 65mph. Awesome ^^
-Went to church then took my stuff and went home.

This was a pretty awesome camping experience since we didn't have any kids to take care of. Still, I can't wait until the next one ^(^^)^
